I, David McGhee, would like to welcome you and give you a personal introduction to the first HIGH PERFORMANCE HYDROCARBON EXTRACTOR that recovers and cleans the solvent used for reuse.
A Tamisium Extractor is the first commercially produced low temperature, low pressure extractor designed to use a liquid hydrocarbon as the primary extracting solvent and RECOVER IT for reuse safely, easily and economically. The Tamisium Extractor does this by using basic principles of physics without the aid of mechanical or electric compressors or pumps. Combining all the great features of all extraction systems of the world into one single unit for the first time. Extract at Zero Pressure or with Pressure, Slow or Fast, Hot of Sub Freezing and with multiple or single solvents to target specific components in a plant. You can Extract Oil from rocks with such a low wattage system that solar power can handle the BTU requirements to extract, evaporate and condense the solvent to be used over and over again.

Choose from a range of accessories to make your extractions easy and quick. 2 ball valves control the flow or extraction speed and 2 ball valves control the solvent recovery. The Hydrocarbon Solvent of choice is Primarily N-Butane. Organically friendly and NON-TOXIC. This solvent has been used in the food industry for decades because it cleanly evaporates away and leaves no trace. You may not be aware that butane is the propellant used in oil cooking sprays. Why not, it is safe non-toxic, evaporates completely and dissolves the oil readily so it can be sprayed out of the low pressure canister and it provides the pressure to do so. The manipulation of this low pressure created by butane when placed in a closed system is what you will learn how to use and is what makes this system so incredible and easy to use.
Tamisium Extractors are a pressurized system capable of extracting while sub freezing or hot, slow or fast, and under variable pressures using various combination's of solvents to target specific components of a plant.

All done without requiring additional equipment. When you are done extracting, the apparatus will recover the solvent for reuse and it will clean and separate from any other solvents used with butane, during the recovery process.

Butane is a non toxic, very non polar solvent and will extract essential oils and very delicate aromatics with great efficiency while preserving the integrity of the highly evaporative volatile components of the extract. Meaning, once extracted, the extracted components will more closely match the aroma exactly as they resided in the plant because they will not be lost or destroyed during the extraction and evaporation or recovery of the solvent used to extract them out because it is all done at very low temperatures and pressures. If heat is needed, it can be applied easily. If other polar or mid polar solvents are required, other solvents can easily be added before the extraction process initiates. Originally the Table Top Extractor was created to allow small scale extractions to be performed prior to filling this larger machine. We use the larger extractors once we figure out what extraction parameters work best for our desired application.
A Tamisium Butane Extractor is a totally closed system and the carrier/primary solvent is never exposed to the air during extraction or recovery of the solvents used. Very easy to use and simple to understand. If you are using any other extraction process you will wonder why you ever did after using one of these new extractors, This extractor will make your extraction business much easier, safer, and faster. The Table Top Model is Ideal in laboratory settings for running test on solvent, pressure, time and temperature combinations prior to using larger more costly equipment.
WHY BUTANE?
Why not? Butane in non toxic, extracts at low to zero pressures and can be recovered easily for reuse after you use it. It can be recovered for resuse over and over again and it is cleaned every time you recover it. Butane is miscible with other solvents, and can carry other solvents through the plant material and separate from them after the extraction has been performed and after the solvent recovery process, and it leaves no trace or residuals after the process completes.
Almost all volatile (evaporating) solvents such as alcohol, ether, acetone and butane are flammable but the Tamisium Extractor is the first dedicated system that deals with a flammable non toxic solvent in a sealed pressurized system with redundant safety features. Butane has been used as a food safe solvent for almost a hundred years. It is used to manufacture and distribue food products for decades and still used today.
It has been said that no extraction solvent has ever captured the total essence and fragrance or aroma of a flower in all it's delicacy as has been done when using the NON TOXIC Solvent Butane. Yet, the evaporation of the solvent is not so low that recovery of the solvent for reuse is costly and difficult as with it's cousin propane. When dealing with delicate volatile oils that evaporate easily, there is no other solvent that can compare due to the low evaporation point of butane and the exact polarity match of butane to the oils you are extracting. Butane dissolves oils easily safely and more efficiently than any other solvent you could use. So much so that it is currently in use as a propellant in cooking oil sprays.
As a matter of fact, there are some essential oils, aromas and plant chemicals that can not be dissolved and extractred by any other means than by using butane as the primary solvent, and now, you can recover the solvent for reuse automatically.
This extractor is not limited to essential oil extractions, perfumes or rare botanicals. Use it to extract biofuel from seeds, soil or clean oil laden machinery in a special cleaning vessel. It may be the most versatile extractor ever produced.
The low wattage required to extract and recover the solvent make it a prime candidate for a cost effective solution for Bio Fuel Production. The variety of botanicals and limitations of products you can extract with a Tamisium Butane Extractor has not been reached yet. It appears to have no boundaries. I have been using this extractor professionally for over 7 years to extract oils and chemicals that do not reside in the oil. We can even clean a plant of oil before extracting the chemicals out, so that we have a cleaner separated extracted product.

They are made of high grade Food Quality Stainless Steel, machined to high tolerances. From table top units that will extract from 175 ml (2 ounces) of plant material , all the way up to a full scale commercial production set up with a capacity to extract from 10 liters (5.5 pounds) of botanicals completely computer controlled. Even 50,000 gallon sized units could be built if required.
